Hello, its been a while since I posted here but I had a few questions. First, which uniform should I get? I have to decide with one of the following. http://sovietarmystuff.com/Product_683_ ... ttern.html
http://sovietarmystuff.com/Product_390_ ... ttern.html
Second, I was wondering if anyone knew of a good source to find pictures of Russian soldiers in basic training, preferably 2011 or 2012. I want to see their uniforms and stuff way more modern.

Digital Flora is the most modern one. Just make sure you get a right season because ones you linked are winter Smile

Yea I want a winter one. Do you know the size differences either? Like how much smaller a 50 is from a 52?

I can't find my photos of infantry for the time being but here it is in a nutshell;

2011 was predominantly FLORA regular model; digital FLORA was in production but was not implemented in mass quantities to the entire army.

2012 was digital FLORA in mass trial, this is when the issues started popping up about the winter uniforms not providing enough warmth. FLORA equipment in regular style still in use and widely used, you see it in use in pairs with the digital FLORA. (I.e.; digital FLORA uniform, FLORA 6B13, FLORA 6sh112, Digital FLORA helmet cover, etc.)

This should give you an idea of what you can do with Russian Infantry.

This is somewhat misleading; 52 is for chest 40-42, waist 30-32. The height differences lie in the -? stamping after the initial sizing number, 52-4 is good for height 5'8 and up, 52-3 is for about 5'5 and up till 5'7, etc.

So you probably would have worked fine with that size if the -? stamping was smaller than what you got.

I decided to get this http://sovietarmystuff.com/Product_213_ ... ants.html. I got it in the 50-2 size so I think I should be good in it with me being 5'10 and all.

Taurus I was saying it in relevance to average Build of a guy of such height

Svishnevsky, that should be sweet if your not a 'Larger' guy

And thats a Nice Set, the collar will seam prickly at first due to it being the same 'Fish Fur' as the Ushanka's (Being Synthetic) but you will get used to it quick.
and the Jacket on its own is nice, but will prove to look to big without the lining, but still very warm on its own as well and the lining is very nice
