Avoid putting up links to competitors' sites for one, and for two, the M69 was never used in WWII. It was implemented for use around the 60's I believe, and there were various models developed; one for dress, one for walking out, and one for combat. They saw more action in early Afghanistan than anything.

For WWII, you would need an M35 or M43 uniform (35 for early war, 43 for late war), they were called 'gymnasterkas' by manufacturers and soldiers alike. For winter use, they used what is called a 'Telogreika,' which was the well known khaki uniform with padded strips going vertically down the uniform that was lined with 100% wool. For head gear, either the overseas cap or Ushanka was used, there were no kepis available at the time, or a helmet of course. If an officer, you would have a flattened visor cap from that era.

Hopefully this helps out.

Yeah I've done the same with Soviet-Power before... Don't worry though, it's still an accurate uniform to use for Soviet Afghanistan, which is more infamous and popularly impression based than The Great Patriotic War.

All you need is a suspenders set, an AK mag pouch, Grenade pouch, Plash-Plotka, canteen, jack boots, and maybe a HEBE Kepi, and you're all set for Early Afghanistan invasion. ^^

so if I want to make a WW2 realistic, I just buy a GIMNASTERKA M32 and the pants of the M69 are ok for a WW2 effect?
Does the pilotka hat is ok for a WW2 uniform?

M69 is close enough, although don't expect anyone to let it slide if they are serious reenactors. But yeah, Pilotka's were the most widely used caps in WWII at the time besides Ushankas and helmets.

No problem man, and you can use the PPSh for later conflicts with your M69 as well, there was some conflict I think either in Georgia or somewhere further East in Russia where it was used too. And you could probably use it for an Afghanistan impression as well, although there are no photos yet to support its use. But I've seen Mosin Nagant's there so it's a possibility.

If you need anything else feel free to ask.
