Putin is standing as the presidential candidate again, and I dont see any problems with him being re-elected, he is a strong leader. I just hope there are not any problems with neighbouring countries this time!!!!

Why by all means he is a good leader, the corruption rate is still... bothersome to say the least.

Putin is a strong leader indeed. But sometimes he acts offensive too fast.

Well, the corruption level can just be downed in some years. This will take minimum a couple of centuries.

There is a joke in Russia: "Who will be "the Putin" this time?" Smile

He is a strong leader and will do what is required of him to keep his country safe. As mentioned earlier in the thread he does go offensive to fast. I feel like quoting him on something he said a few months back while the Americans were working on their missile defense system. I am paraphrasing here by the way.

"Apart from America we are the only country that has nukes. If the Americans, even with our agreement, still feel the need to defend themselves, i will take this as an offense, and "uncomfortable" situations might occur".

Personally, I like Putin as he is not afraid of being bullied around and stands by his own principles. Unlike some weak presidents like ours and in other Third World countries which lets richer countries manipulate us for monetary gain, just like puppets.

A little off topic, but I'm glad to be back here guys. I was a little inactive due to college life, but thankfully it is now our semester break so I can get as active as I used to. I'm going to use my free time monitoring our Facebook page and posting here again! Very Happy

What a ridiculous thing to say. Apart from the fact that Russia and the US are NOT the only countries with nukes.

The club as of now stands at:

US
Russia
China
Great Britain
France
India
Pakistan
Israel (though this is just speculation as they have never admitted it)

And now North Korea.

I'd assume he meant that as a metaphor.
