Those look great, but very expensive, Leave it to the BATF to ruin my day... I wonder if I should just save up for a VFC AK-74 or build one with one of those kits and get internals, although I have no experience with building an airsoft gun...

i own a classic army ak74 compact steel version
the CA aks are good feel and the weight is right but the inokatsu guns are the mutts nuts and buy systma gearbox for it if you can not the TM one also the fire support team would probly put it together for you for free if not for a small price
but whichever ak you buy i advise a solid stock for a decent size battery
also you can get real ak's and makarov pistols modified to fire bb's but i have only seen these fire the metal bb's

those real AK's and Makarov's are great I used to have one of each. They can fire the plastic .177 BB's but they are CO2 powered and they are too powerful for an airsoft game, they can actually break the skin

i have used the co2 powered versions of revolvers that shoot lead pellets. i thiink these have become seldom used except for police and hunters training. they aren't meant to be shot in airsoft games. vityaz is right about the effects of the projectile on the skin.

the self-contained air cartridge air pistols such as Brococks have now been reclassified in the UK and you need a firearms certificate to own them. I an see air guns going that way soon as well

that's how they start off with the laws.

first it's small confined areas that many do not violate, but then it becomes a ban on the most harmful of offenses. that's way it is becoming on speech, and slowly on possession firearms here in the states. imagine our two running democratic candidates hillary and obamma racing to see who erases the second amendment first. It would make voting for republicans so easy if the republican runner didn't stress how much he wants to proceed with they way bush has been running the world...

but remember it starts with small item like banning or restricting pellet guns, but what a long way it will go...
