hi comrades, I bought a inexpensive AK-47 to have as a prop. It is a non-working airsoft AK. But everything functions like the selector (with the trigger), magazine can be removed, working hop and so on. I bought it just to have a lifesize AK!

I always wanted to have an AK with olive drab furniture and so I took this rifle apart to get the hand grips and stock out as they were fake plastic wood.

Now everything went well except that when I took the body apart, the trigger assembly fell out. My fault for not being careful enough. So now I have a trigger, a metal support rod, and the spring. My only problem is figuring out how the spring attaches to the trigger assembly.

I included some pics and can post more pics if you want...the gun is a Cybergun/Softair(?) AK-47. I have already painted the furniture on it OD and it's starting to look great...but it will be atleast two more days of drying/repaints before I will start to put the gun together again.

Meanwhile, I am also trying to see how the spring fits in. I wish I had the manual for this but I can't find one and I had searched for it. thanks so much for any help!

Is there no way to fit the spring inside the trigger? That would be my first guess so that the trigger can re-affix itself in the correct position after firing.

No experience with cybergun really.
But lets try anyways,
The spring probably needs to go around the rod with one straight end into the trigger and the other to the back. Can you show the other sides of the parts involved? like the trigger, I'd like to see what it looks like above.

thanks for the tips/hints...it's fixed!

Taurus, yes...the spring does have a part in the trigger itself and as Mandos said, the rod is involved too. I attached a picture of the correct assembly. After I mounted it, I used a thin long screwdriver and pushed the long straight end of the spring into the chassis while closing it shut. w00t!
