Does anyone have some ideas for missions other than capture the flag and team deathmatch?

A very nice one that we play
Protect the VIP:
One person is VIP and is supposed to stay at a certain location(for a certain amount of time) or brought to one. One team defends him, the other needs to eliminate/capture him. The VIP has to be recognizable in some manner.

Please do choose your VIP carefully, the last one I had, had the unnecessary urge to stick his head of every window as often as possible and got shot from half a mile away. He was supposed to stay inside the little house and was recognizable by his orange T-shirt.

"Storm the Front". Pretty much a reverse Capture the Flag. Instead of taking their flag to your base, you take your flag to theirs. Kind of like the storming of the Reichstag by the Soviets. You can make this interesting by having a fairly large flag and the flagbearer is unarmed.

Depending on how hardcore you want to go. There are places running military simulations that include vehicles, boats and even choppers so imagine what kind of missions they get with all that hardware.

From normal softcore airsoft games i think zombies got to get a mention Smile

Something we tried during the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. : Blood in the Red Forest game in Illinois was sending a team of Loners into a barn to get propane tanks to complete a mission objective, while a Controller and two Snorks were lying in wait. Once inside the Controller went active and began attacking the Loners, meanwhile the Monolithians and Zombies barricaded the Loners into one side of the door and began coming around the other side to flank.

It was a very well planned mission that succeeded in causing about 89% casualties to the Loner's team.

Another one we did was setting up a minefield with flour and CO2 airsoft mines, we sent the opposing team out to clear the minefield but when they got there we did the infamous Soviet ambush; three of our teams was on their left flank, right flank, and one facing the front of them in a fortified position while we all rained hell on them from an elevated position while they were stuck in a minefield.

No one went home after that one. Smile

A Kosovo themed one I ran went like this:-

Three teams:- Russians, Germans and Kosovo Liberation Army

German team was NATO peacekeeping forces

Russian team was NATO peacekeeping forces officially but had a secret mission

KLA team were terrorists

One player was a wanted Serbian Army general

German teams objective was to find and arrest the general and was under orders to arrest or pacify KLA terrorism but not to engage other NATO units

Russian teams objective was to rescue the general and escort him to extraction point

KLA teams objective was to find the general and take him to their camp so he could be executed on camera at the games end

Game ran for twenty minutes, Russian team had to reach the extract point a mile from the farm buildings which were our 'town', the German teams 'NATO HQ' was in the big barn, KLA teams 'Camp' was in one of the house buildings on the farm, which also smelt like Kosovo

I headed the Russian team and we rescued the general and snuck him past the German team on a stretcher saying he was wounded and got to the extract point under fire from the KLA. We won!
