Alright,
I got my hands on an EE-8 field telephone in Canvas case. Its fully functional but i have a question to ask.
First of all there is no number on it, so was this never used or what?
Secondly, the telephone cord (from the unit to the headset) is coiled (like, you know, a home telephone). Now in pictures and in another EE-8 unit i saw the cord was straight. Does this mean the phone had some repairs or does it indicate the date it was made?
Thanks guys

They probably sterilized it to ensure it wasn't tracked back to the person who sold it. Some people are paranoid about these things.

As for the coil, it is probably a later year of production.

Thats strange because they mistakenly sent me two and they were very different. One was covered in dried blood (Hmmmm), had a straight cable, Damage canvas bag and a serial number that lead to Korea war. The other one, the one i mentioned, was almost immaculate condition so i kept that one.
I really feel foolish now but they sent me a TA-25 in exchange for one of the phones (heheehe) and to be fair its pretty awesome (Czech army)

I feel so stupid now, but thank you!

PS: Maybe the blood added value...leave your opinion on that lol

Edit: Didn't make clear i gave back Korean one not later one...i'm an idiot
