Found one of these in a model shop in Belfast the other day. Going to start work on it at the weekend. It has a Vympel Spetsnaz insignia decal for the ballistic shield but I think I might 'lose' that and paint it with the Vityaz insignia!!!

What do you think then?

i have the bbi mvd krechet 1/6 figure, and the 21st century soviet spetsnaz clothing equipment set, which i use on a dragon body as well as having their 1/6 scale ak series 1 and 2 weapons.

i am using the soviet spetsnaz figure for an impression i want to do.

i have almost everything except for the gasmask bag, afghanka tunic (hard to find in 58-5 or 58-6[preffered]), and the AKS 74(VFC makes one that fits this description).

but aside from that i'd really think 1:18 scale russian soldiers (afghan or chechen war era) would be nice. i wouldn't mind having 1:18 scale BMP, BTR-80, Hind, URAL truck and T-80 tank either. Smile

luckily marauderinc makes 1:18 scale weapons and currently they have made an ak47, aks47, AKSU 74, akm74 with grenade launcher, RPG7 with scope, RPK 47 and an akm74 with removable clip (they also have the same thing with a permanent bayonet).

I dont see any 1:18 stuff over here. I did get one each of these last week for my Grozny diorama:-

http://www.netmerchants.co.uk/product.p ... uation1994

There is a few guys on ebay based in China who have a lot of 1:6 stuff. Have a look at:-

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/ToyshomeB2

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/hke-bay

and the one I think by far is the best:-

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Actiontoyshk2614-Store

Have fun!

Hope these are helpful. I have the 21st century spetsnaz sniper and trooper, the dragon GPW morskaya pekhota black sea fleet, GPW winter infantryman, GPW tank crewman, and the dragon US infantryman in NBC suit
