Hello soviet army forums, i found this website awhile back and seen some of the great products and prices now i am wanting to put together a kit for airsoft. I have a AK74, but the gun isnt important so i wont go into it.

Im looking for a modern spetsnaz (woodland preferable) Loadout.

Could anyone give me advice on what the modern laodout is these days?

Regards
Karl

Well, the term 'Spetsnaz,' is fairly generic as it literally translates in to Special Forces. And in Russia there are a lot of them.

But when you hear that word Spetsnaz, people more often than not associate it with the MVD, or the guys that wear the red berets.

And that's when it gets a little complicated, the MVD (Also known as the Ministry of Interior) is a branch of special forces that have a ton of divisions beneath it. Like the Vityaz or the OSN teams, the Militia, and even the GRU get bunched up in that terminology pretty often, though the GRU is not part of the MVD directly.

So if you want modern, your best bet is to buy a modern GORKA, like the ones made by SPOSN, get a SMERSH set also made by SPOSN, maybe a bandana or some kind of Kepi, a helmet maybe (be prepared to spend a ton of money on the helmets), and then any kind of generic infantry boots. Some special forces units were allowed to pick and choose what they wore as footwear so some things can pass if you can find photos of it. The AK-74 is the most widely used firearm in spetsnaz forces today, so keep that and you'll be fine.

So that's kind of a brief summary of what you can do, elaborate on it if you want to and I'll help you out there.
