Here are a few photos of what I did recently with my AK. I refinished the wood, and made a Bakelite finish on the magazine, I also got a Bakelite colored pistol grip and added a GP-25, the butt pad for the GP-25, and included the bandage/tourniquet combination in the wire stock like you can see in most photos from Afghanistan and Chechnya period.

Wow that looks great! You really do put attention to detail which is a great trait. I have been looking for an Airsoft Ak for awhile. Can you recommend me any? I am looking for reliable long lasting AK airsoft gun thats meant for field use. I looked at these two:

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=3941

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=8271

Not sure what I should be looking for.

Love your poster in the background!

Well I've been told to stay away from LCT and G&G, also Jing Gong is a horrible brand as well.

Your best options for cost effectiveness and reliability are Dboys and CYMA surprisingly, they are the best mid-level brand you can go for and you can always upgrade them. I was told to go for externals first then upgrade the internals to match what you are needing with your rifle. So the first one you posted would be best option, just make sure you try and get as much 'full steel,' on the rifle as you can get. Sometimes they will have a V2 or V3 that is more steel than pot metal.

If you want a gun that you don't have to really change much of anything with VFC and LCT are really good from what I've been told. They are extremely rare to find and are very expensive.

Another thing to consider is who you want to build an impression around and what weapons they are documented using. AK-74M has always been a pretty universal rifle for operators in SF and in Army and VDV.

You can get dboys from some of the HK airsoft suppliers such as rsov but make sure you have your UKARA registration up to date and that they include a copy of the form on the outside or you will have trouble with customs

Yea i had run into that trouble before. A friend of mine (UKARA registered) ordered some internals from Red Wolf and the customs would not let him have it for over 6 months. Needless to say he was well unhappy. Although when i ordered my TT from KWA it arrived with no problems at all. And even though its full metal it performs quite well. Well maybe because its still quite warm outside Smile
