Ok, so I was working on my PMG, sealing the cracks with Silicone sealant... Apparently, It doesn't work. It peels off... So... Silicone is never recommended for patching up your gas mask...

...because silica will not bond with latex, I wasted money off that silica seal Mad

Rubber cement will be tested tomorrow on my PMG, I'll post the results! Laughing

So.. an Update. I recently bought a rubber cement called "Elmer's Rubber Cement" Turns out it ain't the vulcanizing type... I'm gonna go find another cement that vulcanizes latex. I'll post updates!

Update: Rubber cement is crap. Another wasted item. I've read they use Power Steering Fluid! Another update will be posted, and if successful, I'll post before and after application...

I wouldnt advise power steering fluid as petrol oil lubricants can seriously degrade the protective abilities of butyl rubber! Possibly the rubber cement from a puncture repair kit might be a good idea?

Yeah, like Slime.

But isn't there just a butyl cement over there somewhere? Should work...

Just use Goretex patches that you buy on eBay and cut up a doff hood from a Czech or American gas mask kit and put the fabric over the holes and seal it with the Goretex patches.
