 Post subject: dp5 and shms problem

hello

i recieved my dp5 and shms mask but i have a couple of problems
the dp5 only halfway works i can turn it on and hear the clicks but the needle wont move

for the shms there is a large dent like it was folded and is slightly deformed wearing it forces a part to be pressed up against my eye

im not sure what i can do i've sent an email to vladimir but i havent gotten a response yet

The DP5 Vityaz may be able to help you out on, I haven't purchased any of those as of yet so I don't have any experience with it.

As for the SChMS, can you please take a reference photograph for us so that we may judge what may have happened to the mask?

As for the email, it takes Vlad around 1 business day to respond, and depending on what time zone you are (US time zones is usually around 4 am) will determine when you get the email the next day.

its has 3 on the cheek i asked for a size 2 it is a little bit big but still managable its not that bad but if theres anything i can to to replace it with one that doesnt have a dent i would really like to
also i emailed vladimir last week maybe it got lost?

Yeah that's diffinately something Vlad will need to know about... Vityaz should report to you shortly, you may want to send another email tonight with those photographs attached and wait for Vityaz to get with you on the DP5 problems.

We've had issues with gas mask like that before being damaged in transit, so you should be able to claim a replacement.

I can send Vlad a message, he receives around 2 - 300 emails a day so he may have been kept busy sorting through them. As for the DP5 im not sure what the problem is but it could be that the level of radioactivity is too low to register on the dial. Background radiation will often produce a reading on the audible sensor but not on the dial

shouldnt it be able to read from the test source on the back of the tube? when you rotate it around it goes crazy and i have a second source of uranium but still nothing happens to the needle

In that case, yes it should, the needle may be jammed. Im not sure what Vlad will do but ive messaged him about it

im not sure what you mean by jammed when i move the counter around the needle moves with the g forces so its not stuck it just doesnt read anything
i tried to open it but the screw on the toggle is stuck really bad i couldnt get it to move
